Sorelle Dance Studios provides meaningful dance experiences for children aged 6 months–12 years across the Sunshine Coast.

We’re committed to delivering high-quality dance education in a nurturing, professional environment where every child feels supported and inspired. At Sorelle, we foster confidence, creativity, and a strong sense of belonging — inviting children of all abilities to explore, learn, and shine.

About Us

We’re Shikara, Ticia, and Zahli Chandler — the sisters behind Sorelle Dance Studios. Inspired by the Italian word “sorelle,” meaning sisters, our name reflects not only our family connection, but also our collaborative and child- centred approach to teaching.

Together, we bring a wealth of experience across dance and early childhood education, forming a dedicated team committed to delivering high-quality, developmentally appropriate dance programs. Our classes are designed to nurture each child’s creativity, ignite their passion for movement, and support the development of foundational technique — all within a warm and welcoming environment.

Our Programs

We provide a variety of dance programs tailored for children aged 6 months to 12 years.

PETITE PERFORMERS: AGES 2-4 YEARS

Each class provides a strong balance of structured learning and imaginative exploration. Set exercises and routines develop coordination, listening skills, and dance vocabulary. Students also use musical instruments, props and improvisation to spark their interest and creativity.

In our classes, we prioritise developing strong technical foundations and instilling discipline in a engaging and supportive environment. This blend of precision and discipline ensures that students excel in their dance forms while growing as confident individuals.

RECREATIONAL DANCE

Our All-Ability Recreational Class is a vibrant and welcoming space for children aged 5-12 years to explore the joy of dance! Designed to be fun and engaging, these classes introduce a diverse range of dance styles, allowing young dancers to express themselves creatively and discover their unique movements.

The Sunshine Coast’s first-ever Wheelchair Dance Program offers a unique opportunity for children to explore a diverse range of dance styles. With a focus on fun, the program incorporates a variety of props and upbeat music to create an enjoyable experience for all participants.

My three year old daughter has been attending Sorelle Dance Studios since the beginning of the year, and she is absolutely in love with these ballet classes. Miss Kara and Miss Zahli are both wonderful, engaging teachers, who really care about all of the students involved. They are both so encouraging and enthusiastic and it’s clear they love sharing their knowledge with their students. They are great at teaching the technical work with them, in a way of keeping it fun and engaging. I love the use of props that allows young children to learn ballet in a fun, interactive way. It is the perfect dance studio for all ages and dance abilities. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Sorelle Dance Studios to other families. They are excellent teachers, fun and engaging, patient and kind. Most importantly, the children enjoy themselves which is evidence of the high quality of services.

As a family with both parents working full-time, four children, and numerous commitments, we have very limited time, and without this opportunity being offered at OSHC, our daughter Eliza would never have been able to access such an experience.
Participation in the dance class has truly been the highlight of her week. We’ve been amazed at her growth in confidence throughout the term—it has just blown us away.
